Server-Level Speed. No Plugins Required.

WPCloud’s performance stack is built into the server, not bolted on with plugins. LiteSpeed caching, image optimisation, code minification, and Bunny CDN deliver fast page loads without bloating your WordPress installation.

True Server-Side Caching. Not Another Plugin.

Most WordPress caching solutions are application-level plugins that generate static HTML files and serve them from disk. LiteSpeed caching works differently. It is built into the web server itself, caching pages at the server level before WordPress even loads. The result is dramatically faster response times with significantly lower server resource usage.

WPCloud configures and maintains LiteSpeed caching for every site. By default, the caching system is tuned for standard WordPress operations: when a page is edited, a new post published, a plugin updated, or a comment approved, the relevant cache is automatically purged. You can also purge individual pages or the entire cache in one click from the WordPress admin bar.

Full-Page Cache

Static copies of your dynamically generated pages are stored and served from a hybrid of memory and NVMe disk. The server delivers cached pages without executing PHP or querying the database, which means page load times measured in milliseconds rather than seconds.

Private Cache for Logged-In Users

LiteSpeed’s private caching extends caching to logged-in users by storing personalised page copies. This is particularly valuable for membership sites, WooCommerce stores, and any site where visitors have user accounts. Logged-in visitors get the same speed benefits as anonymous visitors.

Edge Side Includes (ESI)

ESI lets you cache the majority of a page while leaving ‘holes’ for dynamic content like shopping carts, personalised greetings, or real-time pricing. This means a mostly static page can have a long cache lifetime while dynamic widgets update independently. It is the default approach for WooCommerce sites on WPCloud.

Everything You Would Need Three Plugins For. Built In.

LiteSpeed Cache replaces the need for separate image optimisation, minification, and browser caching plugins. Everything is handled at the server level, with no overhead or bloated plugins in your WordPress installation.

Image Optimisation

Lossless compression reduces file sizes without impacting visual quality. Images are automatically converted to WebP and AVIF formats, which are significantly smaller than JPEG or PNG. Full restore functionality is available if you need to revert any image to its original format.

CSS, JavaScript, and HTML Minification

Unnecessary whitespace, comments, and redundant code are stripped from your CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. Multiple files can be combined into a single file, reducing the number of HTTP requests your visitors’ browsers need to make. Fully customisable: enable only the optimisations you need.

Browser Caching

Static content is stored locally on your visitors’ devices until the browser cache expires. No complicated .htaccess configuration required. A single toggle handles everything, including backing up your .htaccess file before changes are saved.

Lazy Loading

Images and iframes load asynchronously, only when they enter the visitor’s viewport. This reduces initial page load time and saves bandwidth for content that may never be scrolled to.

Database Optimisation

Keeps your WordPress database efficient by removing accumulated clutter: post revisions, transients, orphaned metadata, and other overhead that slows down database queries over time.

Bunny CDN. 119+ Edge Locations. Built In.

Every WPCloud plan includes access to Bunny CDN, one of the fastest content delivery networks available. With 119+ points of presence across 77+ countries on six continents, Bunny CDN serves your static assets, images, stylesheets, scripts, and fonts, from edge locations close to your visitors.

The result is faster page loads for visitors everywhere, less load on your origin server, and a better experience for audiences across Canada and around the world. Bunny CDN delivers an average global latency of 25 milliseconds.

Managed Through WordPress

CDN configuration is managed through the LiteSpeed Cache plugin in your WordPress admin. No separate dashboard to learn. Purging, configuration, and monitoring are all accessible from the same interface you use for caching.

Opt-In for Compliance

CDN is available on every plan but is opt-in rather than enabled by default. Because Bunny CDN serves content from global edge locations, some organisations with strict Canadian data residency requirements may prefer to serve all content directly from Canadian servers. The choice is yours, and our team can advise on the right configuration for your compliance needs.
